Jorge Ben

This very distinctive and life-affirming song, which came out in 1963, is by Brazilian singer/guitarist Jorge Ben and is on his debut album.
It has been covered by many artists since then and is one of the most popular Brazilian songs of all time.
The title translates as “yeah, right!” (defiant) and the song is about having a great love for samba (rhythm, music, dance) and making sure that nothing will stop him. In the very beginning of his career, many people were sceptical about his art and Jorge Ben wrote this wonderful song to address that.
